Carolina Theatre Records
The Carolina Theatre of Durham first opened in 1926 as the Durham Auditorium. It became a movie theater in 1929 and was owned by the city of Durham until the 1970s. After a fight in the late 1970s to save the theater from demolition, the theater was taken over by a nonprofit group and underwent several renovations in the 1980s and early 1990s.
This digital collection consists of a 1994 video publicizing the theater's renovations.
