Durham County Extension Service Photographs
The Durham County Extension Service was part of a program created by the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (now North Carolina State University) and the United States Department of Agriculture that aimed to introduce new and useful methods of doing household tasks and farming to rural communities in counties across the state. This digital collection includes photographs of work done by the Durham County Extension Service in the 1920s through the 1940s.
